Overview
Worthy is an offline personal finance app for tracking expenses, income, budgets, and insights. We built it to solve a real problem — not to harvest your data or show ads.
The short version: your financial data lives on your device. We do not operate servers that store your transactions, accounts, or balances. We do not sell your data, run analytics, or track you across other apps and websites.
Data stored on your device
When you use Worthy, the app stores information locally on your phone or tablet using a local database (SQLite). This may include:
- Accounts and balances
- Transactions (expenses, income, transfers)
- Categories, budgets, and currency settings
- App preferences (such as theme and base currency)
This information is processed entirely on your device to power the app. It is not uploaded to our servers because we do not operate cloud storage for your financial data.
What we do not collect
- No user accounts or sign-in
- No cloud sync of your financial data
- No advertising or ad identifiers
- No analytics or crash-reporting SDKs that collect your financial information
- No sale or sharing of your personal data with data brokers
Data you choose to share with us
Some actions are optional and only happen when you initiate them:
- Feedback form. If you tap “Share your feedback” in the app, you may be taken to an external form at aminbihamta.com/forms/worthy-feedback. Anything you submit there is sent voluntarily and may include whatever you choose to write (for example, suggestions or bug reports). We use submissions only to improve the app.
- Support email. If you contact us at aminbihamtawork@gmail.com, we receive the information you include in your message (such as your email address and message content).
App updates
Worthy may download app updates over the air (via Expo Updates) to deliver bug fixes and new features. These updates deliver application code only — not your financial data. Your on-device database is not transmitted as part of the update process.
Device backups
Depending on your device settings, your phone’s operating system may include app data in automatic device backups (for example, iCloud Backup on iOS or Google backup on Android). Those backups are controlled by Apple, Google, or your device manufacturer — not by Worthy. We recommend reviewing your device backup settings if you want to limit what is backed up.
Deleting your data
You can delete all data stored by Worthy at any time from Settings → Delete all my data inside the app. This permanently removes your local database and resets the app. Uninstalling the app from your device also removes locally stored data, subject to any device backup behavior described above.
Not financial advice
Worthy is a personal tracking tool. It does not connect to banks, process payments, or provide financial, tax, or investment advice.
Children’s privacy
Worthy is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date at the top of this page. Continued use of the app after changes means you accept the updated policy.
